Zanzibar Power Situation
Since 10 December there has been no mainline power on the island and unfortunately, per a recent Zanzibar Government announcement, power is not expected to be restored until 22 February. Businesses on Zanzibar would like to assure guests due to visit the island that many lodges and restaurants are not being affected by the power cut as they can provide 24/7 continuous power through private generators.
