Kilwa Ruins LodgeBeachside Lodge at Kilwa Masoko Located right on Jambiza Beach in the small town of Kilwa Masoko on Tanzania’s southern Swahili Coast, Kilwa Ruins Lodge offers comfortable accommodation and a place to rest for visitors to the World Heritage treasures of Kilwa Kisiwani, Songa Mnara and other nearby attractions. With three types of rooms Kilwa Ruins Lodge offers a choice of accommodation. The best rooms are the beachside chalets – all air-conditioned, en-suite with two beds per room and mosquito nets which overhang the beds. Other room types include beach bandas with inter-linking rooms and more basic fishermen’s bandas which overlook the pool area. All rooms have nets. The public areas of Kilwa Ruins Lodge include pleasant gardens, a pool and a dining, lounge and bar area. From the lodge guided dhow trips to the island of Kilwa Kisiwani can be arranged (30 min. journey). Songa Mnara Island can be reached by motor boat in an hour. Fishing can also be arranged depending on the availability of boats. |
