Mbalageti Lodge

Mbalageti Serengeti is located in the Western corridor of the Serengeti National Park, situated on the Mwamveni hill and offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Serengeti plains and the Mbalageti River. The name Mbalageti derives from the old Maa language meaning wildebeest, though the word is no longer in use; today Mbalageti refers to the seasonal river. The Lodge offers every comfort for your safari in the African wilderness.

Exclusive Suites - for a special occasion - with a little extra of everything and a private bath outdoor in the wild, the suites offer the most exclusive way of safari living imaginable. Nature and luxury are in perfect harmony with two en suite bedrooms, a lounge veranda, the suites are the perfect accommodation for the more exclusive safari traveller.

Tented Chalet - Luxurious safari-style tents, each have their own en-suite bathroom with spectacular view, The private veranda with its cooling thatched roof is a tranquil oasis and works as an extension of the bedroom in the wild.

Lodge Rooms - The lodge offers 14 standard rooms, all beautifully decorated in a modern design for a feeling of comfort, with en-suite bathrooms and a small veranda.

Breakfast, light lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant with the Serengeti as a vista. Dedicated Chefs are proud to serve  a fusion of local influences and Continental Cuisine. The bar is situated in the centre of the main building is a natural meeting point and the heart of the lodge. It is a great place to share your day’s experiences whilst sipping a drink of your choice. A wide variety of both local and imported products are available. A 'Lounge Loft'  on the second floor in the main building offers a relaxing cozy corner to unwind. Board games, puzzles, magazines and books are available. The ‘duka’ gift shop sells locally produced arts and crafts as well as more luxurious items.

The swimming pool is made out of local rocks and is situated on the edge of the hill, with a 360 degree view of the Serengeti, the pool offers the ideal opportunity to cool off after a hot and dusty game drive. Complimentary lemonade and fruit kebabs are served by the pool side.
