The Slipway

The Slipway is both a hotel and Dar es Salaam’s premier shopping and leisure centre. Staying at the Slipway means that you have direct access to both restaurants, bars, shops and the waterfront and its harbour.  The Slipway began life as a boatyard, and you can still set sail from here to the beautiful island of Bongoyo, the first marine reserve in Tanzania where you can snorkel and trek across the island - boats sail four times daily.

The Slipway has a choice of waterfront restaurants, offering a range of dining experiences. Choose Mashua Bar for pizza and grill or have a cold beer at Capt Ali’s pub. Fresh fish is served Japanese style at Azuma, and the Terrace , Italian Restaurant offers fine dining overlooking the Indian Ocean.
