Palm Beach Hotel

Originally built in 1954, the Palm Beach Hotel was one of the only buildings in area with nothing to separate it from the beach only 200m away. Now as the city has grown, the Palm Beach Hotel is no longer directly on the seafront. The Palm Beach Hotel is within easy reach of a golf course and a tennis club, and within walking distance of the center of Dar es Salaam.

Recently renovated and restored to its former 'art deco' glory, the hotel has 32 bedrooms, a conference room, a pleasant garden restaurant and bar, and a fully air-conditioned coffee shop. All bedrooms are ensuite and contain; large bed with orthopedic mattress, Large desk and chair, direct dialing facilities, 21" Television, safety deposit box and wireless Internet 'Hotspot' (throughout the hotel).


The Palm Beach beer garden is a popular 'watering hole' in Dar es Salaam with a relaxed atmosphere and affordable, value for money prices. The Garden Bar serves a wide selection of both local and imported drinks, including fresh juices, ice cold beers and crisp chilled wines. A fully air-conditioned breakfast room looks outonto the garden.  The kitchen menu offers a wide selection of meals from fresh salads to sandwiches to steaks to seafood, combining both local and international dishes.
