Karafuu, in Kiswahili language means cloves, stands on the shores of a turquoise bay, an oasis of peace in the shade of coconut palms, frangipani and bouganvillea. 

A choice of style rooms are all built under “makuti” thatch and furnished with traditional Zanzibar furniture.  Garden rooms comprise: bedroom, wardrobe, bathroom with shower, balcony, mosquito net, ceiling fan, independent air conditioning, hot and cold running water, hair-dryer, telephone, room safe and minibar.  Cottages have an entrance through private garden, breathtaking view veranda.  Junior suites are facing the sea, under a beautiful palm-grove or on a small hill comprise.

Our local divemasters have thousands of dives in the area, and will guide certified divers to the absolute best spots. We are blessed with loads of both green and hawksbill turtles, octopus hiding in every crack and crevice, morays hunting along the reef, marble rays and lots more. If you have never tried diving before or you are interested in some of our more advanced courses, our professional instructors will make sure to give you the best possible introduction to scuba diving or advance your current dive skills to new levels. We are a recognized PADI dive center and offer most courses from introductory courses through divemaster and specialties.

Non divers can enjoy fantastic snorkel boat trips to the local coral reef - an awesome opportunity to enjoy an impressive range of colorful fish and corals. A must do when visiting Karafuu. 

Outdoor activities include two floodlit tennis courts, daily gym sessions in the pool, volleyball, aerobics and more. Pool table, Table tennis, board games, darts, playing cards are all available.
